Truly, Madly, Deeply

Yes, I'm talking love.

Specifically chocolate love.

I'll be honest, some days I could take chocolate or leave it.

I assure you I'm fine. Don't call the authorities.

It's not uncommon at all for me to choose a non-chocolate sweet over a chocolate one. Not that I frequently have a dessert tray of offerings thrust at me after every meal. But on the rare occasion when I do have the choice I'll often pick something lemon-y or maple-y or even cinnamon-y over something chocolate-y.

I know.

Now this is certainly not to say that I don't have my days. The days when I would flat knock you down for something chocolate-y. The days when I'm digging in the pantry for an old bag of used up chocolate chips to see if there are any  stuck together in a wad at the bottom. Sometimes it's absolutely all that will satisfy that undeniable craving.

Maybe it's hormonal.
Maybe it's emotional.

It's definitely REAL and mental, and sometimes it's simply debilitating.

DON'T EVEN LOOK AT ME IF YOU DON'T HAVE CHOCOLATE.


From what I understand some of you can be just downright demanding when it comes to the stuff.

And since Valentine's Day (or Perfectly Acceptable to Gorge on Chocolate Day) is coming up

I was wondering what your secret (or not so secret) craving for it usually is.

Do you like your chocolate pure and straight?

Dark, milk, white (I know, I know, not real...)?

Chocolate cake?

Hot fudge??

candy? mousse? donuts?

(My favorite just might be the freshest, warmest of plain yeast donuts with the thinnest and smoothest layer of warm chocolate drizzled on top...)

Oh yes.
